Switch ?

I had always had an iPhone for the longest time. I only had gotten an iPhone since I had an iPod touch. Apple did a flawless job at hooking you. I had an iPhone for as long as I can remember. There is a status associated with your phone. Growing up an iPhone was the piece to have. I still hear people say they won’t text people if it is a green message. I think that is hilarious. I maybe wanted to be the reason messages switched from blue to green. Slowly the little things about having an iPhone would upset me. I owned nothing else that was Apple so why did my phone have to be? This past June was when I made the change.

The main reason for my change was that I had really cracked my iPhone to the point where only part of the screen worked. I don’t remember which drunk night it was that broke my phone but I really didn’t want to pay for a new screen. I knew it was time for an upgrade. The question was: do I buy a new iPhone or switch and get an android?

The android won. I watched one video comparing the Samsung S20 and Iphone 12 and I was convinced samsung does it better. The screen was larger, you’re able to customize your screen better, more features, I liked the design. I cant believe how big the phone and screen are. I’ve been enjoying getting to know more about the software of android. I love that it is hooked up with my Google account, makes sharing information significantly easier.

It’s interesting to be aware of the language people use when the have an iPhone. I was aware of it sorta while having one, but now more so when I actually can't. One is FaceTime… I can't do that. They usually realize that once they text me. Also in group messages that aren’t all Iphone… why do those that have an Iphone still emphasize, heart, or like / dislike texts? It’s a werid text message to receive that may not have any significance in the entire conversation.

I do really miss being able to leave people on read… Oh now fun that was.

All in all, it all depends on your values. The iPhone interface is old and a lot of the same (with updates). I love being able to change my interface so easily. I also enjoy how slim my phone is. Hope you enjoyed my reason why I decided to switch.

*Random post but had it sorta written for a while so finished up the draft.
