Top 5 Albums of 2020
Music is the most important way I express myself followed by writing (obviously). I love to reflect back on albums released in the past year that I listened to a lot. Here are mine along with an explaintion.
It Was Good Until It Wasn't Kehlani
Firstly the work that went into this album was amazing. She did everything with her one friend in her backyard. They filmed and edited all the content themselves. HOW INSPRIING??!! She's now gotten so many recognitions for this work too. Anywho it's an album going through emotions of a relationship and plenty of songs I could relate to. A critical album to this year.
2. Sell Sole 2 Deja Loaf
I loved this album. It's ranking is second soley due to the lack of me listening to it long. The songs make me feel some type of way. Choose is the best song on the album. Spotify let me know that I was one of the first people to discover the song. This album was just what I needed.
3. Circles Mac Miller
I lost touch with this, but remembered it was critical in the beginning and middle. It was played on repeat. The composition of the album is amazing. If you have yet to take time to listen to this work, please do.
4. Before Love Came to Kill Us Jessie Reyez
I discovered Jessie through a feature she was on and fell in love with her voice. This was her first album. It's amazing. I relate to a lot of her songs. Figures and Ankles are my two favorites.
5. Pray 4 Love Rod Wave
I discovered Wave soon before he released this album. I appreciate how he expresses such deep emotion through his music. I was really looking forward to seeing him this year, but concerts will have to wait.

Welcome to GStarr Vol 1 EP J.I.
This man's voice is everything. I love his flow. I found one song by him and next thing you know I’ve listened to everything he's released. Really looking forward when I can seem him live.
6pc Hot EP 6lack
Well if you know me, you know I love 6lack. I appreciate this small piece of work and I just had to mention it. Float is my favorite song off the album. He released Hot sauce with this too and I've got to get some.
This concludes my list of top released albums. Looking forward to the new music that will be released in 2021 and hopefully able to see them in concert.
