My Future Home

I'm very intrigued with where I'll end up living. That includes home and location. The possibilities are endless well that’s if you have the right imagination.

Am I going to live in a city? Am I going to live near a beach? Am I going to have both? Will I be near mountains? What's the weather like? Who am I with? What am I doing? Endless.

One of my favorite things to do is watch sunsets and sunrises but I appreciate sunsets a bit more as it is the ending to a day. A day lived. Sunrises are always great but sometimes the day ahead is not what you expect. With that being said, I really want to live where I have the perfect view of the sunset. For some time I picture that being in a penthouse or if not I'll settle for a wall full of west facing windows. Sunlight is also critical. The more sunlight in the space the better. Hoping to live somewhere that I don’t have to have months of Grey skies.

I want a place to entertain. A huge table for games, circle is ideal but needs to be accounted for. Near is a huge comfy couch with bunch of colorful throw pillows. The sofa is facing a fireplace that also ties to being an outdoor one. Lol I for sure am picturing somewhere warm. Retractable window walls are an awesome element. An inviting and chill place to hangout in.

In my kitchen, I want a huge island. Part of it being where you can sit and the other cook. Truly some of the best designs in a home. I’m picturing clean cabinets, an obvious custom tile backslash by my friend, and a lovely window with lots of plants.

Side note - an adult playground is a must, obviously including numerous swings.

These items I’m listing are all ones I’ve come to appreciate while visiting other homes. These may change by the time I’m ready to by a house and I hope they do in aspects.

The pieces that I am slowly collecting throughout my life are what truly are going to make my home complete.

A few : my huge mirror, hand carved side tables from Japan, sticker table (may turn into wall art), various pieces from my grandparents and all the others I’ll collect.

I’m not a collector though. We need to make that clear. I actually don’t like gifts, for the main reason I may not like it and never use it and then it was a waste. So if I specifically say, then that's all I want.

I love design. I can't wait to live in a home that I picked out every piece. Hell I'd love to create a Gesamtkunstwerk - one day.
